We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God and that every disciple of Christ must make the Bible the standard for every area of their life. (2 Timothy 3:14-17; 1 John 2:3-6)
Salvation through Christ
Salvation comes by grace through faith, as expressed through belief in Christ, repentance, lordship, and baptism. (Ephesians 2:8-10, Acts 2:36-41, Romans 6:3-6, 1 Peter 3:20-22)
The Mission of Christ
As Christ did, we are committed to seeking and to saving the lost, by making people of all nations into disciples of Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20) We believe each person must first be taught to be a disciple of Christ, be baptized as a disciple of Christ, and immediately began being involved in making others into disciples of Christ. (Mark 1:14-20) We are committed to obeying Christ command to do this personally and to teach others as we continue to grow ourselves. In addition we believe in Christ mission to serve the poor and afflicted. (Matthew 11:4-5)
The Body of Christ
We believe that the church is the body of Christ made up of baptized disciples of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13) As one body, we meet together and help each other through discipleship groups and one another discipling relationship. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Hebrews 3:12-13, Colossians 3:15-15). We teach our children about God so that when they are young adults they may make their own personal decision to be disciples of Christ. To that end, we believe strongly in the church family supporting every age group and stage of life through specialized ministries and events for children, pre-teens, teens, campus students, singles and marrieds.
Leadership Under Christ
The Bible calls each and every disciple of Christ to be both a follower and teacher, and the Bible also gives instruction for church leadership. We believe that the leadership of a local church rests in the hands of evangelists, elders, and teachers working as a unified team under Christ authority and with the support and input of lay leaders and members of the church (Ephesians 4:11-14). We also work closely with the leadership of other churches in our global family of churches known as the International Churches of Christ.
